My best time now!

It is exciting to see President Obama in office. It has been a long time coming. This experience has given African-America’s young, and old, rich and poor to dream again. Dr. Kings dream has been living out well on since his death and to see an African-American man in the highest office in America is a great accomplishment. This goes to tell me as a young woman that my dreams will to come to pass. Our greatest journeys may take a little more time but God knows I am a patient women. For the promises of God is always Yes and in him Amen. I have to stop allowing my present situation to hinder me.

God is doing something in my life right now as I type. The bible states that life and death lies in the power of the tongue. What I speak out it what I should look forward to. If I speak poverty that is what will manifest and take root. If I speak life and joy I will began to take on these attributes. God knows that nothing I have seen can prepare me for what is to come. In the year 2009 I will no longer speak myself out of a blessing. I am prepared to receive whatever it is that God has for me. This is my year This is my best time now. I turned 23 in January. What a blessing it has been. God has kept me and has provided for me in many ways that I could have never imagined. To God be the glory for everything that he has done.

I have learned that whatever state I am in to be content. I have learned like the apostle Paul to be thankful to God for every situation. I now that it is not my power and might that I am here today but it is because God has kept me and allowing me to be who I am for such a time as this. I believe that this is such an amazing time for Journalist. I am glad that I decided to pursue this field at this time. I am glad that the Lord has led me to CBU. What an awesome thing to be a journalist and write such amazing things about witnessing one of the most historic movements ever. God bless American and our first African American family the Obama’s.

Why didn't you share that your bday is in january? Well Happy Belated Bday!

I think that Obama's win speaks volumes to any minority or group that has been oppressed. That dreams can come true.

God Bless.
